A typical weekend break would take you from our base in Skipton either eastwards to Saltaire or westwards to Foulridge and back. A week’s hire could take you eastwards through Bingley Five Rise Locks to Leeds, or westwards through the lovely villages of Gargrave and Bank Newton, through the Foulridge tunnel at the highest section of the canal, and then down into Lancashire towards Wigan, or alternatively part distance in either direction.
A longer cruise can easily take you off the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and onto the Bridgewater, Trent and Mersey, Shropshire Union, Llangollen or the Cheshire Ring Canals, the Rochdale, Ashton, Peak Forest and Macclesfield.
